What the partnership means

In February 2025, the New York Red Bulls announced a youth development partnership with New York Eagles Soccer Club. Since the fall 2025 season, Red Bulls youth coaches have led training for every NYESC team, primarily at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers.

It means Westchester families get professional coaching, a proven curriculum, and a real connection to one of the top player development systems in the country, without leaving Yonkers.

Who we are

New York Eagles Soccer Club (NYESC) was founded in 2022 to give boys and girls in Yonkers and Southern Westchester a club that takes their development seriously. We serve players ages 4 to 18, from their very first touches with Little Champions all the way to our Senior / College-Bound teams preparing for high school, college, and beyond.

In February 2025 the club entered a youth development partnership with the New York Red Bulls. Red Bulls youth coaches lead training for every NYESC team, using the Red Bulls’ professional curriculum and connecting our players to the New York Red Bulls Player Development System.

We are always looking for coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers who share our values and want to help young players improve. Whether you’re an experienced licensed coach or a parent who wants to help, there is a role for you.

What we look for

• A genuine commitment to player development and a positive environment.
• Reliability: on time, prepared, and consistent every week.
• A willingness to learn our game model and follow the club curriculum.
• Coaching licenses are a plus but not required for assistant roles.

The NYESC board sets the club’s strategy, budget, and policies, and makes sure the club serves its players and families well.

What your fee includes

Payments

We strongly encourage paying the full-year fee up front. It keeps records clean and avoids mistakes. If you need to split it into two payments, email info@nyesc.org and we’ll set it up with you.

Registration is confirmed once the fee, or first payment, is received. The club’s refund policy applies. If a family finds a sponsor to cover their fees, the club is glad to accept the sponsor’s payment on the player’s behalf.

Tournaments: optional events during and between seasons. Entry costs are extra and are announced to each team in advance.

Uniforms: ordered and paid separately through Soccer.com. If you haven’t ordered yet, email info@nyesc.org for the sizing and ordering links.

How to register

1. Pick the Travel or Non-Travel form above.
2. Choose your player’s age group using the age group chart.
3. Pay the full-year fee, or email us to set up two payments.
4. Order your uniform on Soccer.com and watch for your schedule in TeamSnap.

Every NYESC program is a step on the same pathway. Players learn the same game model from the start, so each stage builds on the last. Movement between levels is based on each player’s development, readiness, and commitment.

Goalkeeper Academy

A dedicated Goalkeeper Academy is available across age groups, with specialist training for keepers alongside their team sessions. We’re now recruiting goalkeepers, with scholarships available. See the flyer and sign up.

Through our partnership with the New York Red Bulls, NYESC players are aligned with the New York Red Bulls Player Development System, with the opportunity to progress through its development levels toward the professional game.

Age groups, 2026/2027

Age group finder

New this season: following US Club Soccer, age groups now use a school-year cutoff of July 31 (August 1 – July 31), not the old calendar-year cutoff.

Before tryouts

1. Find your child’s age group using the birth year chart.
2. Sign up for tryouts on TeamSnap.
3. Come to tryouts on Monday, October 5 or Wednesday, October 7 at 6 PM, Field 1, Tibbetts Brook Park. Watch your email for your session details.

What to bring

• Cleats and shin guards (required)
• A soccer ball, size appropriate for age
• Water bottle
• Weather-appropriate athletic clothing

On the day

Arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Players will take part in drills and small-sided games while coaches evaluate technique, attitude, understanding of the game, and athleticism. Parents watch from the sideline so players can focus.

After tryouts

Families receive a team placement or offer by email. Accept the offer, then complete 2026/2027 season registration and payment to secure your spot. If you have questions about placement, contact the club through the contact page.

Our expectations of parents

• Be positive and supportive from the sideline.
• Let the coaches coach.
• Respect referees, opponents, and other families.
• Get players to training and games on time.

Arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Bring cleats, shin guards, a ball, and water. Your age group and session details are confirmed by email after you sign up.

Team formation

Teams are formed by Red Bulls coaches based on each player’s ability, development, and commitment. Where we have more than one team in an age group, players are placed where they will be challenged and get the most out of the season.

Spaces are limited and fill quickly.

Register

NYESC runs camps during school breaks so players can keep training and have fun with friends. Camps are open to NYESC members and non-members.

Camp details and registration will be posted here and sent to club families by email.

NYESC teams compete in league play and in tournaments across the tri-state area throughout the year. Tournament entries are managed by the club and shared with families through TeamSnap.

How to order

1. Open the NYESC player portal on SOCCER.COM.
2. Select your player’s gender and birth year. The portal shows the correct kit for that age group.
3. Choose field player or goalkeeper. Goalkeepers have a different jersey.
4. Pick sizes for each item, add to cart, and check out. Uniforms ship to your home.

Check that the birth year and gender match your player before you check out, so you get the right kit.

What’s in the kit

Every NYESC field player needs two adidas game kits, one red and one black. Each kit includes a jersey, shorts, and socks. The prices for your player’s age group are shown in the portal.

Goalkeepers order full goalkeeper sets (goalkeeper jersey, shorts, and socks) instead of the field player kits. Select “goalkeeper” in the portal to see them.

Uniform rules

• Players must wear the full official uniform at every game.
• Order early. Uniforms can take a few weeks to arrive.
• Shin guards are required and are not part of the uniform order.
• Uniforms are not included in the program fee.
• Returning players may reuse kit that is still in good condition.

For players who want to play in college, the process starts earlier than most families expect. Our coaches help Senior / College-Bound players and families plan ahead.

A simple timeline

Tips

• Grades matter: strong academics open more doors.
• Keep emails to coaches short, personal, and include your schedule and video.
• Ask your NYESC coach for honest feedback about the right level for you.

• Hydration: players bring water to every session. Coaches give regular water breaks, more often in hot weather.
• Heat: in extreme heat, sessions may be shortened, moved, or cancelled.
• Injuries: coaches report any injury to parents the same day. Players with a suspected head injury never return to play that day.
• Equipment: shin guards are required for all training and games. No jewelry.
• Emergencies: every team has emergency contact information for each player.

Signs to watch for

• Headache or pressure in the head
• Dizziness or balance problems
• Confusion, or not remembering what happened
• Nausea or vomiting
• Sensitivity to light or noise
• Seeming dazed, slow, or “not right”

Club policy

1. Any player with a suspected concussion is removed from play immediately.
2. The player does not return to training or games that day.
3. The player must have written clearance from a licensed healthcare provider before returning.
4. Return to play is gradual, step by step.

If symptoms get worse, such as repeated vomiting, severe headache, or unusual drowsiness, seek emergency medical care right away.

• All coaches and volunteers who work with players complete a background check.
• All coaches and volunteers complete SafeSport training.
• Two adults should be present at all team activities. One-on-one unsupervised contact is not allowed.
• Communication with players goes through TeamSnap or includes a parent.
• Concerns can be raised with the club president in confidence.

• Measure your player’s chest and height, then compare to the adidas size chart on SOCCER.COM.
• If between sizes, size up. Kids grow fast and uniforms last the season.
• Youth sizes fit most players up to about age 12; older players usually wear adult sizes.
• Size samples may be available at registration events.

Teenagers and adults can become certified referees through US Soccer. It’s a great way for older players to earn money, learn the laws of the game, and stay involved.

How to become a referee

1. Create a US Soccer Learning Center account.
2. Complete the Grassroots referee course.
3. Complete required SafeSport and background screening for your age.
4. Start working youth games with an assignor.

Respect the ref

Referees are often young and still learning. NYESC players, coaches, and parents treat every referee with respect.

Season months are a guide. Exact dates and weekly schedules are confirmed for each age group at registration.

Team-specific schedules, games, and changes are always posted in TeamSnap.

All teams train 2–3 days per week. Travel teams add league games on top of training; non-travel teams focus that time on technique and touches.

NYESC practices are primarily held on Field 1 at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, a central location for families across Southern Westchester.

Getting to Field 1

1. Drive to the Tibbetts Brook Park entrance at 355 Midland Avenue, Yonkers. The park sits between the Cross County Parkway, the Saw Mill River Parkway, McLean Avenue, and Midland Avenue.
2. Inside the park, head to the soccer fields at the north end of the park, near the Cross County Parkway.
3. Park in the lot closest to the soccer fields and walk to Field 1. [add a landmark, e.g. “the first turf field past the soccer building”]

Using GPS? Search “Tibbetts Brook Park Field 1” in Google Maps. It takes you right to the field.

Winter: Saunders High School

From December to February, training moves indoors to Saunders High School in Yonkers. Saunders is also used for extra sessions and games during the year.

Field rules

• Arrive 10–15 minutes early and leave the field clean.
• No pets on the playing fields.
• Respect park staff and other park users.
• Follow all park rules and posted signs.

Cancellations and changes are posted in TeamSnap as early as possible. If you haven’t heard anything, plan on training going ahead.

Weather policy

• Lightning: if thunder is heard or lightning is seen, everyone leaves the field right away and waits in a car or building. Play resumes 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning.
• Heavy rain or waterlogged fields: fields may be closed by the park. Sessions are cancelled or moved.
• Extreme heat: extra water breaks, shortened sessions, or cancellation.
• Extreme cold: sessions may be cancelled when conditions are unsafe.
